donna donna songs

Diposting oleh lukita kemala di 16.06

On a waggon bound for market
there
s a calf with a mournful eye.
High above him there?s a swallow,
winging swiftly through the sky.

Reff:
How the winds are laughing,
they laugh with all their might.
Laugh and laugh the whole day through,
and half the summers night.

Donna, Donna, Donna, Donna;
Donna, Donna, Donna, Don.
Donna, Donna, Donna, Donna;
Donna, Donna, Donna, Don.

Stop complaining
,,  said the farmer,
Who told you a calf to be?
Why don
t you have wings to fly with,
like the swallow so proud and free?

Repeat Reff

Calves are easily bound and slaughtered,
never knowing the reason why.
But whoever treasures freedom,
like the swallow has learned to fly
aloohaaa ... back with me.
now I want to discuss about the song ya donna donnna originally sung by Joan Baezin 1960.
but, I prefer this song as sung by siita (RSD) as the soundtrack in the GIE.
probably because when sung siita tone became more subtle and slow.

meaning of this song I think is very good and deep.
where the point is we should be proud of ourselves.
do not even think to be someone else.
because everyone has an advantages and disadvantages of each.
God has created us in accordance with what is supposed to be.
we as humans are imperfect beings who created god.
it's useless if we try to be someone else but not useful.
so start now to love yourself completely ..
